AUGMENTED REALITY

The Development Of Augmented Reality (AR) To Raise Children's Awareness Of Traffic Accidents

The Development of Augmented Reality (AR) to Raise Children's Awareness of Traffic Accidents is my undergraduate project. Built using Blender 3D software to create models and animations and Adobe Aero to combine all models to make AR.

Aside from cyclists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians, children also use the roadways. Some kids even use the roadways as playgrounds, especially if they live near them. Traffic injuries occur more frequently in children due to several risk factors, such as immaturity, risk-taking behavior, and small stature that make them difficult to see. A traffic accident is defined as an incident involving at least one vehicle on a public road that results in at least one person being injured or killed. This research was designed to examine the problem of children's knowledge of traffic accidents in Malaysia and to determine how effective augmented reality campaigns are at increasing that knowledge. It blends animation with augmented reality. This project's purpose was to determine how well-augmented reality works to increase public awareness of traffic incidents. After viewing some augmented reality video animations on traffic accidents, most kids between the ages of 10 and 12 did better on their tests. The awareness effort seems to be succeeding. With the help of upcoming research and advancements, children will be made more aware of traffic accidents.

This project delivers useful content to users about road safety information through visuals or illustrations. It is possible to demonstrate children's understanding of road safety presented using AR applications in the school activity book, Year 2 Road Safety Education.
